It is a very simple & tasty one dish meal,it has a good satiety, I have added bottle gourd to increase volume of the rice Bottle gourd goes well with prawns,even curry tastes good ( best replacement of potatoes in prawns curry )

Ingredients

  • listcheckRaw rice-50 g
  • listcheckPrawns-100 g
  • listcheckBottle gourd-- 100 g ( finely chopped)( optional)
  • listcheckOnion-50 g ( optional )
  • listcheckKhada masala-Whole spices- bay leaves 2-3,star anise-1,black pepper5-6,cinnamon-1-2,cloves2-3
  • listcheckShredded coconut - 1 tsp-3 g
  • listcheckGinger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • listcheckRed chilli powder-1 tsp
  • listcheckTurmeric powder-1 tsp
  • listcheckDhania powder-1 tsp
  • listcheckSalt to taste
  • listcheckBiryani/ pulao/ Garam masala-half tsp
  • listcheckGhee/ coconut oil-2 tsp ( 6 g )
  • listcheckChopped corriander/ mint leaves
  • listcheckLemon juice-1 tsp
  • Method

  • Step-1
    clean and devein prawns ,marinate with ginger garlic paste,salt,turmeric,chilli powder& 1 tsp lemon juice, dhania powder
  • Step-2
    Wash & drain rice
  • Step-3
    In a pressure pan brush ghee & add whole spices , add rice and keep stirring for 2-3 mins
  • Step-4
    Remove & keep aside
  • Step-5
    Now heat remaining ghee ,add onion , stir till it is golden & transparent
  • Step-6
    add turmeric ,ginger garlic paste ,finely chopped lauki , salt, stir , now add prawns , keep stirring for 2-3 mins
  • Step-7
    Add double amount of water (rice : water 1:2)
  • Step-8
    When the water boils add rice & Biryani/ pulao/ Garam masala-half tsp pressure cook
  • Step-9
    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves ,and one tsp of shredded coconut Enjoy!!!!!!
