With the season of amla and their rich source of Vitamin C, a recipe in winter is must to keep away cold.

Ingredients

  • listcheckAmla grated 40g
  • listcheckRice 50g
  • listcheckGroundnuts 10g
  • listcheckOlive oil 7ml
  • listcheckMustard seeds 1tsp
  • listcheckMethi/Fenugreek Seeds 2tsp
  • listcheckGreen chilli 1 big
  • listcheckGinger 1/2inch grated
  • listcheckSalt
  • listcheckDry red chilli 1
  • listchecksplit urad 1pinch
  • listcheckgram dhal 0.5 tsp
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Dry roast mustard and Fenugreek Seeds separately. let them cool and grind to powders.
  • Step-2
    Cook the rice and keep aside.
  • Step-3
    In a grinding jar, add green chilli, amla, ginger, salt and make paste.
  • Step-4
    In a hot pan, add olive oil and then add urad dhal and gram dhal, dry red chilli and fry until there's aroma.
  • Step-5
    Add amla paste and fry for a min.
  • Step-6
    Add the cooked rice and mix well.
  • Step-7
    Sprinkle the mustard and Fenugreek powders and mix well.
  • Step-8
    P.S You can use mustard and Fenugreek powders that are readily available.
  • Step-9
    This will be a spicy rice so you can take curd as an accompaniment.
