Airfried lauki kofta is a low calorie curry you can relished it with chapati or rice or have the dry kofta as a evening snack.

Ingredients

  • listcheckfor kofta 500gm Grated Lauki(Ghiya/Doodhi/Bottle Ground)
  • listcheck10gm Gram flour
  • listcheck3ml olive oil for brushing
  • listcheck1/2 TSP turmeric powder
  • listcheck1/2 ginger garlic powder
  • listcheck2tsp coriander powder
  • listcheck1tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • listcheck1/2 cumin powder
  • listcheckchopped coriander leaves
  • listchecksalt to taste
  • listcheckFor Gravy
  • listcheck1sliced medium onion
  • listcheck2 chopped medium tomatoes
  • listcheck1/2 cumin seeds
  • listcheck1tsp coriander powder
  • listcheck1/2 TSP turmeric powder
  • listcheck1/2 Kashmiri red chili powder
  • listcheck1tsp ginger garlic paste
  • listcheck3/4 cup water
  • listchecksalt to taste
  • listcheck1/2 TSP kasuri methi
  • listcheck7 ml olive oil
  • listcheck1 TSP of any gravy masala ( chole masala or chicken masala)
  • listcheckchopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
  • listcheck1 TSP garam masala
  • listcheck1tsp Fresh cream.
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Kofta balls 1.Peel and grate lauki .squeeze out the water completely.
  • Step-2
    2.Take squeezed grated Lauki in a large bowl and add all dry spices and mix well.
  • Step-3
    3.Mixture should have a thick consistency to make round shaped( if needed you can add more gram flour).Do not keep this mixture idle for long time.since lauki releases water over time and it will make mixture soggy and you will not be able to make kofta balls.

    4.Grease your palms with oil and make medium round shaped balls of mixture.

    5.Preheat the Airfryer at 200c for 5 mins.Grease the pan with little oil and put the kofta balls in it at temp.180c for 15 mins.Brush the kofta balls with little oil in intervals.

    For Gravy

    1.Heat the oil in a pan add sliced onion and stir fry until it turns light pink in color,transfer it to grinder jar.
  • Step-8
    2.Add chopped tomatoes in jar and make a fine paste of it.
  • Step-9
    3.Again heat the same pan add cumin seeds let it crackle now pour onion tomatoes paste along with ginger garlic paste ,dry spices and fresh cream except garam masala.

    4.Saute it for 4 to 5 mins now add water ,kasuri methi mix well and put the lid on for 5 mins stir it occasionally.

    5. Add garam masala and turn the flame off .

    6 .Place the kofta balls in serving dish and pour the hot gravy on it.enjoy this delicious airfried lauki kofta curry with chapati or rice .
