Ingredients

  • listcheckDefatted Soya Flour - 50gm
  • listcheckGram flour- 25gm
  • listcheckRice flour- 25gm
  • listcheckSpinach - 100gm
  • listcheckOnion- 20gm
  • listcheckDry ingredients (as per taste)- salt, black pepper, cooking soda, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, carom seeds
  • listcheckolive oil - 5gm
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Mix all the flours along with cooking soda and keep it aside.
  • Step-2
    Clean and cut spinach leaves and onion. It must be finely chopped and add it to the flour mixture.
  • Step-3
    Now add all dry ingredients and mix well. I have added pinch of dry masalas.
  • Step-4
    Slowly add water until you get thick paste consistency.
  • Step-5
    In a appe pan, grease it with olive oil/ghee and pour in the paste in equal portions and cover it.
  • Step-6
    Let it cook for 4 mins and flip on other side or until it's golden brown on both sides.
  • Step-7
    Note: I have tried without oil as well. But that won't give you the same coating as in the pic. But taste wise, both are same
