A small twist to your regular poha

Ingredients

  • listcheckPoha 40 gm
  • listcheckPeanuts 15 gm, roasted and crushed
  • listcheckCauliflower 30 gm, grated
  • listcheckCoriander Leaves, chopped 2 tbsp
  • listcheckCurd 10 gm
  • listcheckCheese cube 1, cut into four small cubes
  • listcheckRed chilli powder 3/4 tsp
  • listcheckSalt to taste
  • listcheckMustard seeds a pinch
  • listcheckSesame 5 gm (optional)
  • listcheckGreen chillies 2, minced
  • listcheckCurry leaves few
  • listcheckOil 10 gm
  • Method

  • Step-1
    In a deep bowl, mash together poha, curd, salt, peanut powder, cauliflower, red chilli powder, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Step-2
    Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Grease your palm with some oil and flatten the ball on your palm. Place a small cheese cube in the centre. Gather the edges and shape them into balls.
  • Step-3
    Steam the balls on high flame for five minutes. Remove them from steamer and allow them to cool.
  • Step-4
    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard and sesame, let them splutter. Add green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Step-5
    Lower the flame and place the balls. Turn and tilt the pan till they get well coated with tempering and turn golden brown. Remove them on serving plate.
  • Step-6
    Serve hot with chutney.
