Usually yakhni pulao is a high calorie dish usually made in north india, persia, and gulf countries and by and large includes meat. Also a large portion of oil is used to fry onion to garnish it. Instead this recipe has some modifications and I have used chicken with no oil. Can make it instantly..

Ingredients

  • listcheckRice raw- 50gm
  • listcheckChicken -75gm
  • listcheckGinger root-5gm
  • listcheckGarlic-5gm
  • listcheckMint leaves-5 gm
  • listcheckFennel seeds(Saunf)- 5 gm
  • listcheckOther dry spices - cinnamon powder, black pepper powder, cloves and cardamom(2-3), cumin powder.
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  • Step-2
    In a cooker, add marinated chicken, mint leaves, fennel seeds (saunf), all dry spices, salt and cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  • Step-3
    Now, rinse rice with water and add it to the above broth and cook it for 5 minutes. And it's ready!
