Instead of having it like normal flakes with milk I tried this upma recipe and it came out just so delicious and super filling for a breakfast.

Ingredients

  • listcheck2 Medium Size Onions
  • listcheck8-10 Curry leaves
  • listcheck1 TSP Mustard Seeds
  • listcheck3/4th TSP Asafoetida
  • listcheck2 Green Chillies
  • listcheck100gms Ragi Flakes
  • listcheck1/2 Cup Water
  • listcheck2 TSP Oil
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Heat oil in a pan. Once oil is hot put mustard seeds, curry leaves, thinly sliced Green chillies and fry. Now put sliced onions to this tadka and fry till they are golden brown. Once Onions are golden brown Add Ragi flakes to the pan and roast it continuously till 5 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 Cup Water and mix well till 1 minute. Now garnish it with coriander leaves and lemon. Your deliciously crunchy and health filled Ragi Flakes upma is ready. You can also ragi flakes like we have cornflakes with milk and dry fruits.
