Chickpea curry with minced soya
Ingredients : 25gm Chickpea (soaked and boiled) 100gm Minced Soya 50gm Cream 10gm Ghee 3 tomatoes 1 big onion Garam masala (as per requirement) Salt (as per requirement) After the ghee boils, add onion and cook it until it is translucent. Add the minced soya and cook until it's quantity reduces and sticks to each other. Then add the tomatoes in (if you have a blender, making a tomato paste would be ideal) and cook them in until oil seperates and the consistency gets thick. occasionally add water to ensure the soya does not stick to your vessel and cook the tomatoes for about 8 mins until there is a gravy consistency. Add in the cream, salt and garam masala alongwith. Now add the boiled and strained chickpeas to the Gravy and keep mixing and cook in low flame for about 5 mins and covered with a lid. Optional are to add in lemon for tempering, alongwith coriander (cilantro) in the end for taste! Enjoy the wonderful curry. Serves with both rice and roti. I personally serve this with cucumber cut into small cubes and mix it along. It enriches the taste a lot more!
