The First Step

The first step is always the toughest, a lot of overthinking can actually stop you from taking action. It was for me once upon a time and still it is for every individual who is looking to start or kickstart your journey. If you are looking to grow from this ,

here are 3 simple things that will help. 1. Set a Goal People who set targets they had better results as opposed to people who did not set any goals(This was for weight loss and weight maintainance for a period of 12 months ). Go for it, you will only realise that you can do this and its not as tough as it sounds. Sometimes we can shoot for the stars but atleast we land on the moon thats much better than not taking off. Review your goals and progress and take help if required from friends or family or from members here. Having a community helps and having a strong support system definately is one of the keys to success. 2.  "Life goals" Vs "Dietary Goals" Is your life goal to be Exercise regularly, be a good parent, Save money or invest for the future ,Spend quality time with friends and/or loved ones? While you have diet goals like lose weight or Maintain healthy changes that I have already made to my diet or Eat less sweets? Then thats good, the interaction between life goals and dietary goals definately works. Say If you have an active diet goal (weight loss) or a maintenance diet goal or achieveed a goal will you feel more confident in when you are trying to achieve your life goal. Also people who make excercise their priority consistantly, it becomes easier for them to make this possible. 3.Tracking what you eat People who track more consistantly over a longer period of time have shown a better result than the ones who track fewer days or try to eat healthy. Wow such a simple way of just logging what you eat can get you closer to your goals. You can use Fittr app to track your calories daily and evaluate yourself daily. This will definately help you get closer to your goal. Get a supportive friend/relative onboard and share your results weekly on how you are doing and how many days out of 7 were a success. So whats your target that you are working on? Have you set any dietary goals or achieved any goals recently and is it working for you? If yes , please do comment and share your story with others, It will definately help others in the community to start who are stuck in contemplation mode. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4346080/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5111772/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3104274/
