THE ENERGY BALANCE

__________________________________________________ Do you know how many calories you should consume? Read the post to learn about your energy intake. We have always been advised to follow a nutritious and healthy diet. But our energy requirements are subjective, depending upon our statistics and fitness goal. The energy balance is applied to understand the energy requirement and expenditure of a human body. It gives the relationship between: 1. Energy IN (calories ingested through food and drink) 2. Energy OUT (calories used for our daily energy needs) Pic 1 depicts the state of Neutral Energy Balance: Energy IN = Energy OUT This means your energy intake is equal to energy expenditure i. Therefore, you will maintain your current weight at this state. Pic 2 depicts the state of Positive Energy Balance: Energy IN > Energy OUT This means your energy intake is greater energy expenditure i. Therefore, you will gain weight at this state. Pic 3 depicts the state of Negative Energy Balance: Energy IN < Energy OUT This means your energy intake is lesser than your energy expenditure i. Therefore, you will lose weight at this state. So now you have understood the first principle of preparing your diet. You know where your energy intake would lie based upon your goal. #GymLife #FitLife #GetStrong #Workout #TrainHard #Gains #Shredz #Strengthtraining #Fitness #FitFluential #squatsdotin #TeamINFS #Fittr #coaching #fitnesscoach #StrengthenEveryday #healthylifestyle #Nutrition #Nutritionfacts
