🍎 Garcinia Cambogia (Malabar Tamarind) is a small fruit. It is a good source of hydroxycitric acids.

--- 💁 Some studies in rats support potential weight loss by inhibiting citric acid lysase which is required in the synthesis of fatty acids, known as de novo lipogenesis. --- 🙅 However, it is important to note that the effects were not the same in human trials. This can be due to less actual activity of de novo lipogenesis in humans which is much higher in rats. Many studies also report that it resulted in a decrease in appetite which can the main reason for weight loss the respective studies. --- 🏠 Take home message: The benefits of fat loss are unreliable in most of the studies.
