Does anyone remember the lines from the title song of the series F.R.I.E.N.D.S

"So no one told you life was gonna be this way Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life is DOA It's like you're always stuck in the 2nd gear And it hasn't been your day, your week, your month or even your year" Does this sound like a familiar situation? Difficult bosses...tough relationships, work pressures, dealing with kids....AND on top of that, people mocking you for the diet? And if that was not enough, your progress is at snail's pace compared to others. Well this is enough to get demotivated and fall into the dark pit of sorrow and demoralization, to crib yourself for not progressing, or worse stop the journey. So often stress and low esteem blinds us to the positives happening in our lives. Our vision is so clouded that we keep on craving all things we're not and fail to appreciate what we are. A small word of close ones like "You are doing this diet and shit but no change as such in you, why are you doing this" can have huge impact on your progress if you do not have a positive mindset at that time. At normal times you may ignore that, but when you are already stressed/have a negative mindset this can be disastrous. And the biggest contributor to our stress is overthinking. Sometimes we keep on thinking things that we cannot control or worse we keep on thinking "what will I say if my boss will say that, I will reply this or that, I will leave job if boss say so". Ideally, we cannot do anything on these situations but this excessive stress can actually hamper your progress. The biggest mantra for achieving your goal is DESTRESS! Start appreciating the small positive changes you are failing to see in your daily life. You can also write down a journal with the positives you see on a daily basis, you will be amazed that you have so much which you ignored because you felt that nothing is working, but it's just that you were unable to recognize those baby changes unless someone pointed it out to you.. Have you seen parents getting thrilled over each step their baby takes? Well now it's your turn, celebrate your own baby steps! They are the ones which will lead you to your goal. Remember: 1 step at a time, 1 day at a time 💪♥️
