Is collagen protein better than other protein sources

========================================= There is a new hot supplement in the market which supposedly considered to be really great for skin, health and joint, let's discuss the science behind those claims Protein is largely digested in the stomach and early section of the small intestine called the duodenum. Let’s get one thing straight, ALL protein is subject to digestion and broken down into its individual amino acids, these broken down amino acids then serve literally thousands of physiological processes, everything from muscle building/repair, cell signaling to hormonal processes. Collagen digestion is NO different, it does not have a direct path to your hair, skin or joints. Considering it as Major source of protein for muscle building is itself not a great idea as it is low in BCAA’s, specifically leucine (the key amino acid for MPS) it does not make any sense to consume collagen protein as opposed to whey, chicken or any other high-quality protein source. conclusion-Other than being incredibly overpriced, collagen supplements offer no unique benefits compared to other protein sources.
