-It helps you build good strength.Having a good strength is important especially for obese people because the body weight puts lot of stress on the joints and spine which leads to unexplained back pain or knee pain. A stronger muscles around the joints assists in withstanding the body weight. -It helps you build muscles , strength and burn calories at the same time. -It increases the stamina which makes the daily chores easier. -Sarcopenia (is condition of losing skeletal muscle mass) ,which is common for an aging person ,can be reduced with the help resistance training and proper diet.

can I loose weight by avoiding cardio altogether? my knees hurt while I do the cardio (jogging)
