It is a preconceived notion in people's mind that to reduce fat from belly they need to do a lot of crunches which is a myth, spot reduction is not possible. You need to reduce fat from all over the body and that can only happen with a calorie deficit diet and training. So next time when you do crunches, remember you are doing it to strengthen abdominal muscle not to reduce belly fat.
