Headstand (Sirsasana) is an important exercise to build strength in your shoulders and upper back, it strengthens your core, increases blood supply to your brain, your scalp and thus hair follicles, improves digestion and relieves stress.

I have divided the entire tutorial into 7 easy to understand steps (the way I learned it years ago). Focus on each step and master it before moving to the next one. 

Note - Practice it near a wall and cushions by your side, injury is the last thing that you need right now. Keep recording your video from the side angle to check your mistakes. In case you feel a strain on your neck, immediately stop it and check the position on your head and your upper back in the video. You might be doing some mistake.
