This process of self-defense from foreign invasion is termed as “Immunity”. Our surroundings has ample sources of natural immunity enhancers, such as. Garlic   Garlic is a plant in Allium ( onion) family. Most of the health effect of garlic are caused by one sulfur compound “allicin” which is formed when a garlic clove is chopped , crushed or chewed. It is highly nutritious & low in calories. It is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B12 and Manganese, contains a bit amount of various other nutrients. Prevents and reduces the severity of common illness like flu and common cold, reduces blood pressure lessens the risk of cardiovascular diseases.     Ginger   Ginger is a true wonder spice with many therapeutic properties. According to Ayurveda this in itself is entire medicine chest. This is prescribed as a powerful digestive aid, clears bodies micro-circulatory channels, improves assimilation and transportation of nutrients to targeted body tissues. This is also used as a remedy to for joint pain , nausea & motion sickness.   Fenugreek Seeds   Reads in Hindi as “ Methi” seed is a rich reservoir of medicinal properties . It helps reduce cholesterol level , presence of galactomannan plays a key role in maintaining heart health, high amount of potassium contains the action of sodium & reducing risk of heart disease. Galactomannan is a natural soluble fiber which slows down sugar absorption in blood and control blood sugar level.     Clove   Clove is the dried bud of the flower from the tree Syzygium aromaticum. This improves digestion by stimulating the secretion of digestive enzymes, has an antibacterial properties against numerous human pathogens, anti-carcinogenic properties is helpful in controlling lung cancer in early stage also effective against the specific bacteria that spreads cholera. Due to its medicinal property this is used in controlling tooth decay & halitosis - bad breath.    Onion   Phytochemicals in onion improves working of vitamin C , contains chromium which helps in reducing blood sugar. For ages onion have been used to reduce inflammation & healing infections. Scavenges free radicals thereby reduces the risk of developing gastric ulcer.   Olive leaf extract   It is emerging as a very promising and unique herb with multiple applications. Beneficial in treatment for condition caused by viruses, retrovirus ,  bacteria like influenza , common cold , meningitis , encephalitis , hepatitis B , pneumonia , tuberculosis , malaria , dengue , urinary tract & surgical infection.   Giloy   Giloy has often been called Amruta, the Indian name of nectar. It contains antioxidant properties that improves health and fights dangerous diseases.  Removes toxins from both the kidneys and the liver and makes sure to flush out free radicals. In addition to this it fights with bacteria that causes diseases and also combats liver diseases and urinary tract infection, treats chronic fevers, increases the count of blood plates and alleviates symptoms of dengue fever. Combine it with honey this will treat malaria as well.   Ashwagandha   In Sanskrit Ashwagandha means “the smell of a horse” indicates that the herb imparts the vigor and strength of stallion and traditionally been prescribed to help people strengthen their immune system after illness. Alleviates stress, fatigue, lack of energy & difficulty in concentrating, stabilizes blood sugar helps lower cholesterol, and contains anti-malarial properties.   Turmeric   Turmeric contains curcumin which has prominent antioxidant properties.  It’s a powerful cancer fighter, inhibits the transformation of normal cells into tumor cells, restricts the blood supply necessary for tumor growth, improves liver function and decreases inflammation.   Echinacea   One of most popular herb which is predominantly used to treat common cold and upper respiratory tract infection.
