Which one is better for fat loss : Boiled eggs or Omelette?
Dr. aakash bansal
Well the simple answer is - either None or Both I always hear that diet food is boring and tasteless and it's not sustainable for a long time. A friend of mine told me that he is done with the same breakfast every day. He can't have boiled eggs and bread butter anymore (This is coming from a guy who used to eat non-veg in all three meals). I asked him about his breakfast options a month ago and look at the options he used to have: 1. Bread Omelette 2. Scrambled eggs 3. Egg bhurji with bread toast 4. Half fried eggs 5. French Toast On asking, then why only boiled eggs now? Because diet food is supposed to be with less salt and oil and the quality of macros changes once different food items are mixed together. If I will eat omelette every day, how will I lose weight? Well, the answer was interesting and as expected but in the end, I had only one possible reason for his problem that he is lazy and nothing else. Understand one simple thing, Your diet food is not boring, it's you who doesn't want to put any efforts in cooking your food. Your 2 eggs with 2 bread slices and 1 tsp of butter will have same calories (i.e. 300), whether you take it as boiled eggs and bread separately or you cook it as a bread omelette. The nutritional value will remain the same and you will still get the same amount of protein, carbs and fat as before. This same logic applies to all the food items. You take rice and chicken as chicken biryani or boiled rice and chicken gravy, nothing changes if the quantity of your raw material remains the same and you adjust everything in your macros. So next time before you get to the conclusion that your diet food is boring, just take a step back and analyze the options you have and the efforts you have put in to prepare your dishes. Instead of following it as a strict routine, just relax a bit and adapt it as a lifestyle. Once you will make it a part of your daily routine, the journey will be much easy for you.
