Motivation

This time Transformation Challenge has come up with a unique concept and well it has made TC far more interesting than before.

You need to learn a skill along with your transformation journey. Well, one of my trainees asked me yesterday, "How its gonna help them anyhow". I thought let's answer it here because many people might have this question. What do you understand by a skill, leave aside fitness for a minute? It's an ability that you need to learn to do a particular task well and thus grow personally and professionally. Why has it been incorporated along with TC? Well, do you accept the fact that everyone needs some motivation to keep going, right? For some, TC itself is very motivating and keeps them on track, for some its a foreign trip or a superbike, for some its fame and then there are a bunch of people who uses TC as an opportunity to break some barriers. This SKILL learning activity will help us in breaking this barrier. We always have some roadblocks against some workout routines or some physical activity that we want to do but afraid to take a step forward. Either we are afraid of failure or afraid of people around us. We are not sure where to start and how to be on track. As simple as push-ups or pull-ups is something that many people are afraid to do. Why not put this as our target that by end of TC9, "I will do at least 5 or 7 or 10 Pull-Ups without support". Can you imagine a sense of achievement you will get once it will be done? Even if you didn't win a superbike, still you will be happy at the end because you came out winning against one of your mental blocks. Sit down and relax and think about your greatest fear in the gym and then break it down into simple steps and see what's the first thing that you need to do to come out of that fear. Bingo, now you know which skill you need to learn. People who know me, know about my love for callisthenics. But still rings is something which I always try to avoid in the gym. That's not my forte and honestly, I am afraid to practice anything on this workstation because of a blackout in the past while doing back lever. But today I decided to narrow down the Skill that I need to learn, Iron Cross. It takes a lot of strength to practice this. I need to be physically as well as mentally strong to learn it. I tried attempting today and it was a fail. I couldn't hold even half of it and my target is to suspend upright completely. I am not sure if I will be able to do it but I am gonna give my 100% to it. I learned one lesson from my Dad that I always stick to, "Every fight is not meant to be won. If you thought you will fail, you already lost it before fighting. But if you gave your best shot, you at least came out learning something new if you didn't win it". Explore your inner self and learn something new this 2020. Don't let it be just a resolution which started on 1st Jan and ended on 2nd. Stick to it this time as you stick to 12 weeks of transformation challenge. Have a Fit 2020 !! Be wise in selecting your skill, no one can tell you what you need to be a better version of your own self. The choice is yours, because Every Decision Matters!!
