PART 6 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHILE DOING EXERCISES • Tracking and monitoring your Exercises is very important. • Drink enough water to keep you stay hydrated. • Always make sure you consult your doctor first before choosing any exercising plans. • Exercising beyond the limit with high intensity should be totally avoided. This can cause problems for the well-being of the infant due to the diversion of blood flow to the vital maternal organs away from the fetal-placental unit. • Any exercises with supine position ( lying horizontally with face upwards) can cause returning of the blood from the heart which can indirectly restrict the blood flow to the fetus. • By the time of the third trimester, the intensity of exercises should be reduced but one can focus on walking. • Avoid any physical activity which can lead to falling on the ground. • Don't do any activity just for the sake of doing, checking your comfort level while performing any exercise is also very important. If you find any discomfort while doing any activity stop the activity there itself. • After any physical activity, it is advisable to take proper rest for a good recovery.
