Cheat meal acts as a saviour for your cravings and taste buds but certainly not for the fat loss! •I will explain it in very simple terms- 1- Let’s say you calculated your maintenance calories - 2500 calories. 2- You want to lose fat and you created a deficit of 500 calories. 3- So you started following 2000 cal diet with a deficit of 500 calories to lose fat 4- 1 week - 7 days, so 7*500cal = 3500 cal of deficit — loosing 1 lbs of fat. 5- So for 4 weeks - 3500*4 = 14000 cal of deficit - loosing 4 lbs of fat. •Cheat meal - 🍟🍔🍧 - So you went to a restaurant and replaced a 500 calories meal with 2500 cal meal So now you are in 12000 calories of deficit And you are going to lose - 3.4 lbs of fat instead of 4 lbs So your rate of fat loss is decreased. And more cheat meals means more hampering! •Other possibilities- 1- Overestimating quantity of oil given, remember even 1 extra gram of fat makes a difference of 9 cal 2- Went to met someone and drank cold drinks, tea and other beverages. 3- Adding more vegetables like onion and tomato to make gravy without measuring. 4- Using salads dressings without measuring calories. There could be other possibilities too, but these are some common mistakes most of the people do, and these calories add up resulting in altering your fat loss rate.
