"Does Eating Less Make You Lose Fats?"
Does eating less make you lose fats? I have heard so many people saying "I eat less, but I am not reducing weight!" So are you really unlucky or you are going wrong somewhere? Lets get out of this myth!! Eating too less is a trouble maker and not the solution. What is BMR? BMR or basal metabolic rate is the total calories our body utilizes for its basic functioning, without any additional movement or activity.So this is the minimum amount of calories our body needs. Suppose you are not doing any movement, you are just laying straight on your bed. Your BMR is 1300 calories and your calorie intake is 1100 (200 calories less than your BMR). So your body will be losing stored energy to do the basic functioning. This way you start losing weight rapidly, and this moving scale gives immense happiness. But is this going to help you in the long run? NO!! After sometime, it will start burning fats and muscles too. The loss of hungry muscle tissues will lead to slow metabolism, because "When the amount of muscle goes down, BMR goes down", which means our body's capability to lose fats reduces. You gain fats at the same calorie intake. In other words, body adapts functioning in lower calories and start storing fats and losing muscles. When the metabolism slow down and the muscle mass becomes low, our normal eating becomes overeating and creates new body fat. Eating too less have negative effects on our health too. It can cause iron deficiency and low protein levels, that negatively affect our immune system's ability to fight off diseases. Eating less often leads to irregular menstrual cycle in women. Eating less in pregnant women can lead to delayed growth and development in babies, damaged organs, etc. It may also lead to low blood pressure, hair loss, decreased muscular strength, lower energy, increased depression, nutrient deficiency and unhealthy weight loss. Eat less, get fat! Eat right, get light!!
