No pain, no gain, really? ================================== This quote is pretty famous and can be seen in most of the gym and it is used metaphorically but some might take it literally. Training does not have to hurt you to be effective. After any workout session, it's not necessary that you should feel any pain in your muscles even on the contrary if the pain is a lot ( not talking about the complete beginners who just started ) it might be a symptom of overtraining and counterproductive for your goal. You can still grow/progress in the gym without feeling any pain or just some mild pain the next day .Yes training hard is important for some but not at the cost of poor recovery
