Should you really ignore gluten ?

======================================== Gluten-related diseases such as celiac disease and gluten ataxia are rare conditions, affecting less than 1% of the population in the United States and it's pretty non-existent in Indians. So in the first place, it does not make sense to leave gluten when you don't have that intolerance, for most of us roti, etc are staple good. Secondly, gluten-free food is associated with weight loss just because when you leave gluten, you are skipping a major food group that means less food consumption in general otherwise there is no advantage in a weight loss of gluten-free products. For fat loss calorie deficit matter!! One more point to consider, it has been observed gluten-free diet are heavier pockets than its gluten counterparts and because of cutting down a major food group, it becomes less sustainable also Refernce - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5866307/
